What exactly is a mentor?
A mentor is a volunteer professional who supports you during your job search. They are selected based on your needs, personality or career goal.
Their role? To listen to you, motivate you, guide you, share their experience and help you expand your network. Together, you build a concrete action plan tailored to your situation.
Can I join Team4Job’s program?
Yes, if you meet these conditions:
✅ You are registered with Actiris
✅ You live in one of Brussels’ 19 municipalities
✅ You speak French, Dutch or English
✅ You are actively looking for a job
✅ You have a career goal (even if it’s still taking shape)
✅ You’re motivated by mentoring and ready to commit.
What if I’m not 100% sure what I want to do yet?
No worries. As long as you want to move forward in your job search and you’re motivated to be supported, you’re welcome. Your mentor can also help you gain clarity about your career plan. Please note: you can only call on Team4Job once during your career.

We answer all your questions about mentoring with Team4Job.
How does it work concretely?
1️⃣ We get to know you: we take the time to understand who you are, where you stand in your job search, what you want (or no longer want), and what motivates you.
2️⃣ We select the right mentor for you: based on your profile, sector, personality and needs.
3️⃣ You meet: you meet your mentor for a first conversation. If there’s a good connection on both sides, you form a duo and start your mentoring journey together.
4️⃣ Mentoring begins: you meet at least twice a month, directly at your mentor’s workplace.
Their role? To motivate you, listen to you, encourage you, share their experience, help you expand your network and better understand the employers’ expectations.
You also get access to free training and workshops to boost your confidence, improve your presentation, manage stress… and connect with other job seekers like you.
